Crosswise bed

The Uwis bed almost always fits above a fixed bed placed crosswise. We have yet to encounter a fixed bed placed crosswise that the cot does not fit above.

If in doubt, measure the distance from the wall on which the U-bracket is mounted to the point where the ladder can be placed at the furthest point. If this distance is 140 cm or longer, the bed will fit and the ladder will not be an obstruction. The ladder makes a straight downward bend at the bottom so that in most cases the refrigerator door and/or toilet door can be opened normally.
